Coated paper on which the abundant and beautiful plates are printed shows some buckling by the gutter though the fine paper on which the text is printed is unaffected. Illustrations are from Thornton's Temple of Flora and many other famous illustrations as well as photos from Sissinghurst and other outstanding gardens. Articles are by V. Sackville-West, Handasyde Buchanan, Reginald Arkell, Wifrid Blunt, Alice Coats, Miles Hadfield and many others. Still a lovely book. $ 35.00
