Gussow, H. T. & W. S. Odell MUSHROOMS AND TOADSTOOLS. An Account of the More Common Edible and Poisonous Fungi of Canada. Ottawa: Dominion Experimental Farms Division of Botany, 1927. 4to 274 pp. Illus with two full page colour plates from paintings of Amanitas plus 126 plates from b&w photos of other mushrooms, often showing them at several stages of their development. Dark green cloth. Binding worn and joints split, first three pages have tape repairs to a one inch tear at bottom edge. A good working copy. Despite its lack of colour photos, this remains one of the most useful books for identifying wild mushrooms. $ 25.00
